FMCSA Requests Comments on Electronic Mirror Exemption

Transit Solutions, LLC submitted the request. The company operates as TSI Video. It seeks permission for commercial motor vehicles to use the ClearView E-Mirror camera monitor system.
The system would be installed as an alternative to the two rear-vision mirrors required by federal safety regulations. The published notice explains the request but does not indicate the final decision.
FMCSA will review the application and safety analyses. The agency will also consider public comments. After the review, FMCSA will grant or deny the exemption.
